Our client is seeking a Copywriter to join their growing creative team. They are looking for someone with the right combination of conceptual approach, self-motivation, and storytelling abilities necessary to create, sell and execute impactful ideas for our stakeholders. You will be instrumental in defining the conceptual approach, establishing (adhering to) a tone of voice, and executing Ford Pro assignments across a wide range of marketing communication strategies and content deliverables that include traditional, digital, external and internal channels. Responsibilities:
- Crafting stories and building brands through campaign level thinking and execution
- Ongoing development of new ideas, creative concepts and written solutions across print, digital, social and video disciplines
- Develop original concepts and executions with the intention of sparking conversation and engagement in the digital and social media space. These ideas can be published across various brand channels, published through influencer channels, or may transcend social media, digital and traditional advertising
- Work with internal sales and training teams to develop well-written presentations, arming them with the right tools to clearly communicate our brand and product offerings
- Ensure all writing adheres to brand tone of voice, and is appropriate for the intended audience
- Work with creative directors, copywriters, producers and other team members to flesh out the creative development of ideas and tactical execution
- Write video scripts, headlines, product descriptions, website content, social media content, editorial, etc. Write whatever is right for the brand
- In all social media-specific concepts, be sure to understand various execution formats, character counts, and incorporate creative best practices for networks including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat
- Edit and proof materials during all project phases
- Be a respected creative partner and trusted teammate of your core creative team, internal partners and various agency teams
- Deliver creative presentations for concepts and executions to internal and external audiences
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent
- 5+ years of copywriting experience in a related agency or department: advertising, PR, digital, social media • Proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- Must have a portfolio; share anything that conveys the way you think conceptually and approach writing assignments, even if it was never produced
- Must be self-motivated, smart-working, well-organized, and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
- Ongoing drive to understand emerging techniques, trends and philosophies in technology, interaction, social media and storytelling through content
- Ability to listen, internalize and deliver on creative direction from leadership; we want you to have your own opinion on creative decisions, but also know when it’s not a battle worth fighting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in the automotive and/or technology industries (not mandatory)
- Ability to prioritize work across engagements based on short and long-term needs
- Bonus Skills: blogging, journalism, social community management, filmmaking, videography, video editing, podcasting, HTML, UX, etc.
