Our well known consumer financial services client is looking to bring on a contract, remote Copywriter to assist their internal agency team:

We’re looking for someone with health & wellness / healthcare experience.

This must go beyond a few projects in the book, deeper to subject-matter expertise. Healthcare agency would be great (think HCB Health) or inhouse at a healthcare brand that speaks directly to physicians and vets as well as their office staff, extending then to patients.

**A background check, including fingerprinting, must be complete / clear before starting this assignment**

 

COPYWRITER (CONTRACT)

Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:

Our Digital Creative team is focused on creating and producing campaigns and content for digital channels. We are seeking a Copywriter with deep expertise in writing for digital and social channels. Key responsibilities include development of all forms of online content, such as concepting digital banner ads, crafting compelling social media posts, scripting video, paid search and writing emails. Our ideal candidate understands that users’ time is limited, and space constraints are always a concern.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver strategic, engaging copy for digital creative assets, including website landing page copy, digital banner ads (dynamic and static), social media posts, paid search

and emails.

• Partner with VP Copy, Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Brand stakeholders to ensure messaging works in design and ladders back to campaign, business, and strategies.

• Create compelling content that aligns with overall content and media strategy and internal client requirements.

• Support treatment and script development for video (with an understanding of pace and recording production) /motion graphics.

• Ability to proofread for grammatical & spelling accuracy, consistency and brand voice.

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of work experience in an agency environment or

as an agency contractor

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing or advertising; professional advertising agency experience preferred

• Must provide samples of both long- and short-form marketing writing

• Extensive experience creating content for social media, digital advertising, websites, web

applications and mobile apps, preferably in a digital agency.

 

Desired Characteristics:

• Digital-first writer with experience across all digital channels.

• Knowledge of best practices for writing for key digital platforms.

• Proven ability to write for both B2B and direct to consumer audiences.

• Ability to write for web (SEO copywriting with keywords, title tags and understanding of what shows up in the meta description.)

• Strong communication and written English skills, including good spelling and grammar.

• Detail oriented, organized and ability to prioritize multiple projects while making sure copy is accurate and consistent for multiple brands/clients.

• Team player with a solutions-oriented mentality, and an open, positive and collaborative communication style.

• Must be comfortable within a digital production environment and handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.85 to $47 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
