This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.
Pay Range: $50/hr – $56/hr
As a Technical Level Designer you will work closely with the Lead Technical Level Designer and the Level Design Teams to develop solutions and best practices that deliver against both the technical goals of the project and the player experience.

The Level Designer’s Responsibilities:
- Act as the expert and point of contact for the Level Design pipeline and toolset
- Champion scripting standards and level design metrics
- Collaborate effectively with both technical and design teams
- Debug issues yourself and with others
- Create documentation on technical design
- Write and maintain instructional pages for features and tools
- Prototype new features and tools
The Level Designer’s Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience working on AAA titles
- 3+ years of experience working on visual game editors (ideally UE4)
- 1+ shipped titles in a technical design role
- Experience with game consoles and tools
- Strong knowledge and experience with gameplay systems
- Experience with text-based scripting/programming languages
- Experience writing documentation for tools and gameplay systems
- Understanding of scripting/programming and debugging concepts
- General understanding of performance issues (memory, framerate) especially related to consoles
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50/hr – $56/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
