We have an immediate opening for a Sr Product Designer for one of our beauty retail clients in the San Francisco bay area. Our client is a leading digital player that builds innovative client experiences from social to mobile to site to in-store technology. A Senior Product Designer, you’ll work lead the client experience across web (mobile web and desktop), apps (iOS and Android), stores (cast & client facing in-store digital experiences), and other touchpoints (emerging technology). This role will focus on Client Services and Enterprise domains working on projects including (but not limited to) chat experience and in-store digital experiences.

  • Client Location: San Francisco Bay Area 
  • Work location: Hybrid or remote 
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Start date: 2/2024
  • Duration: 1 year

 

Responsibilities:

  • Owns and leads design projects through research, design, and development process
  • Manage project execution
  • Drive design review meetings, present designs to large groups of partners and stakeholders at all levels
  • Work with product managers to identify opportunities, conceptualize new projects, and aid in the definition of requirements
  • Work with design, program and project managers to create project plans, define deliverables, estimate time requirements, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs that meet business objectives.
  • Produce low fidelity sketches and flows to validate ideas at the concept stage
  • Collaborate with creative department to ensure digital experiences are on-brand and in-step with other creative initiatives
  • Build prototypes to test with users and convey desired interaction to stakeholders
  • Propose specific hypotheses and work closely alongside UX researchers to test designs
  • Produce high fidelity pixel-perfect screen designs and provide detailed specifications and assets to developers
  • Meet with engineering teams to convey desired interaction and participate in visual quality assurance process to ensure final products match design intent
  • Maintain and enforce well organized Figma files
  • Define design system by establishing UI patterns and best practices for their use

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as UX/UI designer with strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects, of digital product design. Focus on e-commerce and mobile channels is preferable
  • Wealth of experience in designing across multiple platforms
  • Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment
  • 6 years of experience in product design

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Familiar with JIRA, particularly for responding to questions from product management and engineering
  • Power user of Figma with specific expertise in use of Components, Auto Layout, Shared Libraries, and Design Systems
  • Comfortable working with a design system and utilizing/modifying pre-designed patterns and components
  • Comfortable with whiteboard process to collaboratively solve design challenges
  • Familiar with design best practices, trends, universal design principles
  • Able to work within technical constraints and budget. Resourcefulness and ability to come up with simple yet elegant design solutions when engineering capacity is limited.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $68.18 to $75.76. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
