Our Houston client, one of the world’s largest publicly traded energy providers and chemical manufacturers, is seeking a Transcriptionist / Editor / Proofreader to support multiple teams across the orhanization, including the UX team, Public Affairs, and more.

- Based on audio or video recordings provided, you will provide true verbatim (word-for-word) or intelligent verbatim (clean) transcripts to the team
- Proofread and edit your work to ensure a reliable and high-quality document to enable the team to reference direct quotes and search for key words or terminology
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years experience as a Transcriptionist
- CSR (Certified Shorthand Reporter) a plus
- Excellent typing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong discernemnt skills when working with challenging audio and accented speech
This role is be 100% remote (Houston-based candidates preferred) and offers flexible hours. This role will start out as part-time (20 hours / week on average) but there is potential to increasee hours (up to 40) over time if desired. You will be given a company-issued laptop to use.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $30-40 / hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
