Join the innovative and impactful Design and Research team as a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping a staple product. Our mission is to enhance user safety and peace of mind through cutting-edge technology. As a Senior UX Designer, you will be instrumental in developing new features and refining existing ones, crafting intuitive and elegant user interfaces that cater to the unique needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team, including designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science, and operations, to bring early-stage product concepts through to successful feature iterations and launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design exceptional, user-centered interfaces by integrating market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study insights, applicable across voice, multimodal, web, and mobile platforms.
- Work directly with Conversation Designers and the Research team to ensure consistency and excellence across all customer interactions.
- Partner with the Product Management team to convert business requirements into actionable use cases and high-level customer experience requirements.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to realize design visions and bring them to market.
- Create conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
- Maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
- Present and review design initiatives with the design team, product team, and leadership, incorporating feedback as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in interaction design, user interface design, conversational design, or similar roles (consideration for candidates with a minimum of 6 years).
- Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools.
- Must possess an online portfolio showcasing your work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to transform complex concepts into detailed flows, mockups, or prototypes swiftly.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multitask in an agile setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions.
- Experience designing for diverse platforms and form factors, including phone, tablet, multi-modal, and wearables.
- Experience in developing voice-based products and services.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $71.32 to $79.24 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
