Our client, a tech giant, is seeking a talented, passionate User Experience Designer for a 6-month assignment to help build and iterate internal tools used by internal employees. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated person interested in designing innovative, intuitive applications used by employees of one of the largest companies in the world. Tools that you build will enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.

Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional experience as an interaction designer, able to move quickly using design best practices but is also able to conduct UX research to validate design concepts and evaluate final designs. This role will require you to work closely with Engineering and Product Management partners. A successful candidate will be organized and communicate well. The environment is very fast-paced and may require balancing multiple concurrent needs. But this is also a rare opportunity to have an impact at a significant scale and to bring UX to a team that is excited to include a design partner in their product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Quickly develop process flows, wireframes, and design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define business and feature requirements using empirical data, usability findings, market research, and proven Human Centered Design principles
  • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and organizational leadership for review and feedback
  • Contribute to user interface design and development of best practices and standards

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web, mobile, and/or software applications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, human-centered design solutions is required
  • Experience using Figma is expected and experience building native applications for iPhone is a plus

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.75 to $53.05/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match (if applicable)
