We’re collaborating with a prominent client in the e-commerce sector in search of a skilled Front-End Web Developer to join their External Payment Services team. This role focuses on creating innovative front-end designs and functionalities for our client’s next-generation payment website. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing HTML/XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript solutions that are compatible across multiple browsers and optimized for high performance.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Utilize design software to create mockups and HTML prototypes for new features.
- Build and code both static and dynamic pages based on mockups and detailed specifications.
- Manage and develop CSS styles and frameworks to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience.
- Ensure that new customer-facing features adhere to established style and functional requirements.
- Implement front-end behaviors using Dynamic HTML and JavaScript to enhance interactivity.
- Perform cross-browser testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless site presentation.
- Develop optimized front-end code in CSS/XHTML and JavaScript that performs well across platforms.
- Create functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and facilitate rapid iterative evaluations for usability research.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and researchers to continuously improve the user experience.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- 2-4 years of experience in front-end web development.
- In-depth knowledge of browser rendering behaviors and cross-browser issues.
- Proficiency in hand-coding HTML/XHTML.
- Advanced expertise in CSS for content styling and layout.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and its application in adding interactive elements to web pages.
- Experience working in a Linux environment is advantageous.

- Proficient in XHTML/CSS for creating visually appealing cross-browser compatible web pages.
- Strong understanding of User Interface design principles and ability to produce diagrams and user flow charts.
- Ability to write semantic code using CSS/XHTML to improve accessibility and SEO.
- A portfolio demonstrating extensive experience with front-end web development is required to apply for this position.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $40-$45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
