Full-Time Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote PHP Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining PHP-based applications and systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will have a key role in the development of server-side logic, definition, integration and functionality between our SaaS product and third-party services. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in PHP development, a deep understanding of PHP frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create scalable, efficient, and robust solutions.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in PHP development.

Strong knowledge of the core PHP language and its capabilities.

Proficient understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Experience with SaaS platforms and understanding their architecture and integration points.

Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

Experience with NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages, like MongoDB.

Experience in integrating third-party services and components.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Proficient in writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code.

Fluent in English with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Having prior expertise in Shopify integrations is an advantage

Responsibilities

PHP Application Development and Maintenance:

Develop, test, and deploy PHP applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Maintain and update existing applications to improve efficiency and compatibility.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend functionality, performance, and scalability.

API Development and Integration:

Design and implement efficient RESTful APIs for data exchange and integration with other systems.

Ensure data synchronization and integrity across different systems and platforms.

Collaboration and Project Management:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers, to define requirements and deliver solutions.

Participate in code reviews, project planning, and sprint meetings.

Document development processes, code, and user guides for internal and external use.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

Conduct thorough testing of all developed features, ensuring they meet quality standards and business requirements.

Address and rectify any bugs or performance issues promptly.

Technical Support and Training:

Provide technical support to users and internal teams regarding the applications developed.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and guides for users and internal teams.

Conduct training sessions for internal teams on new features and updates.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously research and implement new technologies and approaches to enhance application functionality and performance.

Gather feedback from users and analytics to inform and prioritize future development work.

Evaluation Metrics:

Quality and timeliness of developed applications and features.

Effectiveness in problem-solving and troubleshooting.

Collaboration with team members and contribution to project success.

Feedback from internal teams and end-users.

Adherence to best practices in coding, documentation, and software development standards.
