To that end, the US Government Affairs (USGA) team is looking for a Program Manager to assist members of the State Government Affairs (SGA) Industry team by providing related programmatic support and project management. The PM will play a critical role in helping to facilitate our work with government leaders to develop and achieve the company’s political, policy and relationship goals in a way that reflects the goals and values of the company. Specifically, the PM will operate team processes and develop communications and KPIs that communicate our value to our internal stakeholders.

The PM will work closely with the SGA Industry team on issues relevant to the U.S. Public Sector sales organization to support the sale of client products, services, and solutions to government and education customers. This job may involve interaction with government officials, senior personnel, executives, and numerous internal and external audiences.

This role will take the lead in coordinating and facilitating some of the USGA team’s most important work, partnering closely with others in similar roles and providing value to the team supported.

Success in this role requires a strong background in communications, operations, program or project management. It requires collaboration across all team members within USGA, and the Public Sector team, as well as other groups within Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA). The ideal candidate is a systems-thinker and problem-solver with strong communications skills, creative, motivated, and personable, capable of building strong relationships, and has a strong drive for results.

Responsibilities Include:
•Develop charters, operations manuals, project plans, status reports, and other project management artefacts that help communicate the status and value of the team’s work to a broad set of internal stakeholders
•Monitor and help ensure the team’s progress against key performance indicators; identifying, escalating, and mitigating risks before they become issues
•Help develop collateral to assist team members in their policy and business development pursuits
•Manage budgets and resources against established plans
•Work collaboratively with internal business units to achieve success.
•Coordinate communications between members of the USGA team and external clients
•Maintain an understanding of the rhythm of business to be proactive and contribute to planning discussions and anticipate business needs and challenges.

Qualifications:
•A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager or similar role.
•Program management experience preferred.
•Excellent skills in organization and communications, together with the ability to partner across disciplines.
•Self-motivated and able to work in an efficient, informed, and accurate manner.
•Confidence and ability to quickly identify, analyze and develop creative and smart solutions to difficult problems and challenges.
•Regularly thinks outside the given parameters to see if there is a more effective way to accomplish the task than what is currently in use.
•Desire to work independently in a demanding and fast-paced environment without sacrificing high attention to detail.
•You will be handling confidential information, so an ability to maintain confidences and generate trust will be critical.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $53.99 to $59.99 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
